Ganthier: No police, Population has Fled, Criminals Rule the Area

The commune of Ganthier has now been added to the list of the Republic's "lost territories". Ralph Lapointe, former mayor of this commune located 12 kilometers northeast of Port-au-Prince, confirmed on Panel Magik this Friday, August 2, that the town is under the control of "400 mawozo" bandits.

"Criminals from the 400 Mawozo gang are occupying the commune of Ganthier. To escape the criminals' fury, the inhabitants have taken refuge in neighboring areas such as Fond-Parisien, Peyi Pouri and Mòn Mawozo", declared the commune's former mayor on Magik9, describing a scene of desolation.
