Corruption: CPT's Credibility Threatened, Attorney Camille Leblanc Demands Removal of Accused Advisors

Three members of the Transitional Presidential Council have found themselves at the heart of a corruption scandal, but the Council has yet to react officially. Attorney Camille Leblanc, former Minister of Justice, who appeared on Magik 9 on Friday August 2, made an urgent appeal to the councillors involved to step down in order to preserve the integrity of the transition.

Attorney Camille Leblanc emphasized the need for the councillors concerned to take drastic measures to avoid tarnishing the CPT's image. "If the councillors don't take the necessary decision, the CPT will be in peril. Whatever action it takes will be surrounded by suspicion of corruption", he warned on the Panel Magik program.
