Facing Thai competitor Terada Masayuki in the men's -73 kg category, Metellus lost with a score of 11-0 at the Champ-de-Mars Arena in Paris, France, in a match that lasted 2 minutes and 47 seconds. The Haitian judoka received two warnings, including a penalty for non-combativeness from the referee, and was ultimately defeated by ippon.
