On July 25, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille instructed the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation (CSCCA), the General Inspectorate of Finances (IGF), and the government commissioner at the Port-au-Prince Court of First Instance to conduct a "joint investigation" into a "serious suspicion of corruption" surrounding fuel sales at the Bureau of Monetization of Public Aid (BMPAD), which has led to the mismanagement of several million dollars by the Haitian government.
