The country now has a dual executive structure following the interlude of Ariel Henry, who served as both Prime Minister and President of the Republic. Some attributed the inertia of his administration to the absence of a bicameral executive. The voices calling for a dual executive have been heeded. Instead of a single president, there is now a nine-member Presidential Council. It is not an exaggeration to suggest that we have swung from one extreme to another. It seems Haiti has so many problems that a single president cannot solve them all
