On Monday, June 17, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille formally installed Ketleen Florestal into her new role as Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF). The ceremony, attended by the outgoing minister, the governor of the Central Bank (BRH), directors-general, and officials from the MEF, as well as members of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA), and close associates of the new minister, served as a platform for Ms. Florestal to outline some of her plans for the next 18 months.
