Meet Carlos Hercule: The New Minister of Justice and Public Security

Carlos Hercule, former Bar Association President of Port-au-Prince and head of the Haitian Bar Federation from 2011 to 2015, and vice-president of the Provisional Electoral Council that conducted the country's last elections in 2016, now has the responsibility of managing the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

For 28 years, Carlos Hercule has practiced law in Haiti. He is a respected figure within the country's judicial system, well-acquainted with the challenges and hardships faced by litigants. From 2005 to 2006, he served in the private office of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, making him familiar with the workings of the MJSP.
