Three agents from the Temporary Anti-Gang Unit (UTAG) were killed on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Delmas 18, the stronghold of gang leader Jimmy Chérizier, alias Barbecue. According to the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA), the victims were identified as Fermetus Emelin, from the 30th class, Wilken Pitons, from the 31st class, and Clovis Peterson, from the 32nd class.
