First Project: The Presidential Transition Council to Spend at Least One Billion Gourdes on Sanitation

Sanitation works in the municipalities of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. Following the correspondence sent to the President of Kenya to renew the request for the dispatch of the Multinational Mission in Haiti to Support Security, this is the second major announcement made by the members of the Presidential Transition Council that does not concern solely the council.

As previous governments did, the members of the Presidential Transition Council (PTC) announced the execution of sanitation projects in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas.

In a note published on Monday on the Presidency's Facebook account, the Presidential Council informed that "the issue of waste littering the streets throughout the capital and the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince was at the heart of an important working session at the Villa d'Accueil, this Monday, May 20, 2024."
