Legal Action Taken to Halt Kenyan Police Deployment in Haiti

Lawyers Ekuru Aukot and Miruru Warweru, leaders of the opposition party Thirdway Alliance in Kenya, filed a petition to block the deployment of Kenyan police officers to Haiti, Reuters reported on Friday, May 17, 2024.

The High Court ordered that the legal action be served to senior government officials and scheduled the case to be heard on June 12, according to a court statement.
