The good results achieved in public finances during the previous two quarters have continued during the first six months of the fiscal year 2023-2024. Efforts made by revenue-generating agencies have led to an improvement in the overall net position of the government, although their impacts were mitigated by the paralysis of activities during the period from February to March 2024, as stated in the monetary policy note for the first semester of the fiscal year 2023-2024 published by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti.
