The diplomatic corps, almost in its entirety, participated in the inauguration of the Transitional Presidential Council. Representatives from the United States, France, Canada, Brazil, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, among others, were noticed at the ceremony, which was conducted under tight security.
