Haiti Secures $44 Million to Drive Educational Reforms Forward

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) announced that it has secured funding of $44 million to support educational reforms in Haiti. This funding comes from a partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).

The funding breakdown is as follows: $15 million from the IDB, $19 million from the GPE, and $10 million from the EAA. This fund will play a crucial role in supporting initiatives aimed at improving the information management system, continuing curriculum reforms, combating school dropout rates, and enhancing the quality of learning. Additionally, special attention will be given to strengthening school canteens with locally sourced products, providing hot meals to marginalized schools.
