The World Food Programme (WFP) needs a little over 100 million dollars to fund its activities over the next six months in Haiti, of which 60.8 million are solely for emergency food assistance. The country is facing the "worst humanitarian crisis since the earthquake of January 12, 2010," Carl Skau, WFP's Deputy Executive Director, revealed to Le Nouvelliste at the end of his mission on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
"We need 103 million dollars for the next six months. That will be my main message after my trip to Haiti
