On April 17th, Benin appointed a Deputy Ambassador to Brasilia, who will also serve as the country's Special Envoy. Pamphile Zomahoun, the Police Inspector General who previously led the Beninese Intelligence Agency's Liaison and Documentation Services (DSLD), has been appointed. The appointment was announced during the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari.
