On the Publication of the Decree Establishing the CPT

The Council of Ministers and the signatory parties of the political agreement for a peaceful and orderly transition are at loggerheads. On Friday, April 12, the government published the decree establishing the Presidential Transition Council (CPT). Less than 24 hours later, the signatory parties of the April 3, 2024 agreement reacted and denounced "the introduction of major modifications that distort the consensual project of a two-headed executive."

The publication of the decree establishing the CPT falls far short of th
