"I have a concern. It's the influence of drugs in the electoral campaign. And I strongly advise all political parties to reject dirty money because you will pay dearly for it in the future." These were the words of the outgoing American ambassador to Haiti, James B. Foley, on Friday, August 12, 2005, issuing a stern warning to Haitian politicians against the use of drug money and dirty money in the upcoming elections. Is this the price Haiti is paying today?
