Dominique Dupuy Withdraws from the Presidential Transition Council

Amidst intense criticism, death threats, and constitutional reservations regarding her age since her appointment to the Presidential Transition Council, Dominique Dupuy announces her return to her position as Vice President of UNESCO. The group that appointed her is actively seeking a replacement.

In a pre-recorded video sent to Le Nouvelliste, the head of Haiti's permanent delegation to UNESCO thanks the political coalition EDE-RED and Historical Compromise for choosing her to sit on the Presidential Transition Council.

"In addition to unfounded political attacks on my character and threats to my life, my participation as the only woman among eight men faces obstacles that some actors want to create," denounced Dominique Dupuy.
