Gonaïves: School Activities Yet to Resume

Approximately two months after the forced halt of school activities in the city of independence due to protests against Prime Minister Ariel Henry and his government members, students have yet to return to school despite mobilizations and a meeting held nearly two weeks ago between regional authorities and city stakeholders. Scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024, the return to classes did not take place due to violent threats from members of the union of motorcycle taxi owners and drivers demanding the release of their president, Wilio Dat
