At the premises of Anténor Firmin High School, on Charles Sumner Avenue, in the heart of Port-au-Prince, entire families struggle to survive in inhumane conditions after being forced to flee their homes following a brutal attack by gangs in Carrefour-Feuilles in August 2023. According to Civil Protection data, 1,080 families, comprising approximately 3,240 Haitian men, women, and children, desperately await aid that is slow to arrive.
