Haitian Journalists Trained on Hostile Environment Security

At the initiative of the Creole service of Voice of America, the US Agency for Global Media, and the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince, a group of 15 journalists participated in a security training in hostile environments in Miami.

At the initiative of the Creole service of Voice of America, the US Agency for Global Media, and the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince, a group of 15 journalists participated in a security training in hostile environments in Miami. The seminar, held from January 22 to 24, 2024, at the Miami Airsoft training center, was conducted by Julio Cruz and Frank Smyth from Global Journalist Security (GJS). The sessions covered topics such as kidnapping, physical assaults, first aid, personal security, digital security, and more.
