Pierre Espérance Calls for a Serious Approach to the BSAP Threat

The recent actions of the agents of the Protected Areas Security Brigade (BSAP) in the Northeast department following the dismissal of Jeantel Joseph, the general director of the National Protected Areas Agency, have sparked reactions from various quarters. Invited to Panel Magik on Thursday, January 25, 2024, Pierre Espérance, the executive director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), believes that the BSAP can be a destabilizing factor for the country.

"The BSAP can destabilize the country because there is a connection between the BSAP and the armed gangs in the country, especially the two major gang coalitions in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, which have their influence everywhere.
