The number of people killed in armed violence increased by nearly 120% last year, reaching 4,789 homicides.
A total of 4,789 victims, including 465 women, 93 boys, and 48 girls, represent a ratio of 40.9 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 2,183 in 2022, with an estimated ratio of 18.1 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.
