Jeantel Joseph Out as Head of ANAP, Government Initiates Reforms for Protected Areas

Jeantel Joseph is no longer the head of the National Agency of Protected Areas (ANAP). The government, recognizing serious institutional dysfunction within the agency, issued a decree in the Council of Ministers on Monday, January 22, 2024, creating a Technical Commission for its restructuring.

The decree of May 10, 2017, appointing Jeantel Joseph as the "Director General of the National Agency of Protected Areas (ANAP)," is hereby revoked. "A Technical Commission for the restructuring of the National Agency of Prote
