The road to the first edition of the Gold Cup 2024 is still a lengthy one for the Haitian women's soccer team, who were defeated by Costa Rica (2-1) with a goal scored during injury time by Alexa Herrera (90th, +8) when the two teams were level at one goal each.

It was initially Gloriana Villalobos (13th) who initiated hostilities for the home team following a defensive lapse by the Haitian side (1-0).

Attempts by Amandine Pierre-Louis (30th, 34th) and Sherly Jeudy (42nd) did not alter the score at halftime.
