In a joint statement dated Monday, November 13, 2023, bearing the signatures of the North-East departmental delegate, Engineer Moïse Charles Pierre, the departmental director of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Lesly Théogène, and interim agents from Ouanaminthe, Luma Démétrius, and Océlite Destiné, merchants and entrepreneurs have been formally prohibited from entering Haiti with Dominican products through the Haitian-Dominican northern border.
