Prominent Haitian-Origin Figures Honored by SOIT in Quebec

For the second consecutive year, the Service for Orientation and Integration of Immigrants in the Workplace (SOIT) honored several influential personalities for their involvement in the Black community in Quebec. During a gala held on Saturday, October 28th at the Montaigne Hall, seven individuals were recognized, including Haitians Rodney St-Éloi and Frantz Saintellemy.

They are researchers, entrepreneurs, writers, university professors, doctors, among others, who put their skills at the service of the Quebec population and the Black community from which they hail. SOIT considers them as heroes, inspiring individuals who should serve as role models for future generations.

Among these inspiring individuals recognized by SOIT in Quebec is Rodney St-Éloi. "He had the brilliant idea to create a publishing house to publish the works of Haitian authors. Mémoire d'encrier was born.
