The Haitian Armed Forces Aim to Increase their Personnel

Despite being highly sought after by the population and largely overlooked by the international community, the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) are looking to expand their ranks. A call for applications has been launched for the recruitment of a new cohort of cadets.

Nothing is certain yet regarding the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. Despite the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2699 last week, the Kenyan judiciary temporarily suspended the sending of Kenyan troops to Haiti, even though Kenya leads the mission.

While UN Security Council Resolution 2699 does not mention any collaboration between the Multinational Mission and the Armed Forces of Haiti, the latter are nonetheless trying to make their presence known. In a notice published on Monday, the
