Artists Support the Canal on the Massacre River

The construction of a canal on the Massacre River at Ouanaminthe has been in the news for the past two weeks. Many citizens have taken a public stance in favour of the project. Little by little, Haitian artists have also joined the great wave of national solidarity surrounding the construction work. Some have broadcast messages of support via social networks, while others have contributed financially to the efforts.

Mickael Marabou was one of the first celebrities to react to the construction of the canal on the Massacre River. In a video published on 15 September, she loudly voiced her support for the completion of the canal. In the video, the woman is seen from the back with a jacket bearing the words "Fòk kanal la fèt".
