Moïse Jean Charles Backs Security Intervention but Picky About Partners

The leader of the political platform Pitit Dessalines has once again expressed his aversion to Western countries. "Haiti does not need the help of these expansionist countries to solve the security problem plaguing our neighborhoods. Moreover, if you find yourself in a situation where the United States has to decide for you or extend a helping hand, be cautious," stated former senator Moïse Jean Charles on Monday, September 4, 2023, on the airwaves of Radio Magik 9.

Former Senator Moïse Jean Charles dismisses the idea that Kenya should take the lead in a multinational security force in Haiti. According to him, any potential intervention would only aim to consolidate the power of Prime Minister Ariel Henry under the guidance of the United States.

"The United States understood that we thwarted their attempt to deploy troops on national territory as they did in the past. Today, they are hiding behind Kenya, our African brothers, to launch a new intervention," Moïse Jean Charle
