The government is about to implement its program of oil cards for public transportation drivers. According to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ricardin St Jean, a first batch of oil cards should be ready and distributed this week. For the program of unknown duration, the state will have to allocate 1.64 billion Haitian gourdes for 100,000 beneficiaries. Each beneficiary is expected to receive around 15,000 gourdes per month.
