The weekend was anything but peaceful for the residents of Croix-des-Bouquets, Tabarre, Pétion-Ville, and Liancourt. Armed gangs caused havoc, killing, injuring, and kidnapping innocent citizens. Many families were forced to flee their homes to escape the blind violence of the criminals.

Even the police were not exempt from the atrocities of the armed gangs. In Morne-à-Cabris, two police officers were shot and injured. According to Lyonel Lazarre, coordinator of the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA)
