The truce in Cité Soleil has been in effect for some 22 days. Exchanges of fire between rival gangs have ceased. However, the commune still looks like a war-torn place, struggling to get back on its feet. The free movement of people and goods is not guaranteed, due to, among other things, the hideouts of bandits who have remained occupied and the garbage piling up; the war zones are deserted, the damaged houses are uninhabited.
