This July 7, 2023 marks two years since the assassination of Haiti's last elected president. There has been no significant progress in the investigation, nor decisive action to steer the country towards democratization.
Two years later, the institutions are weaker, and those in charge or aspiring to lead the country still have no viable path to offer the population in order to overcome daily challenges.
