Jovenel Moïse's Assassination: CARDH Calls for the Creation of a Special Tribunal to Proceed with the Trial

The complexity of the case surrounding the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse has prompted the Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (CARDH) to once again advocate for the establishment of a special chamber or a special tribunal to ensure a proper trial. Two years after the brutal killing of the 58th President of Haiti, the human rights organization believes that the investigation has not lived up to the magnitude of the crime.

July 7, 2023 marks the second anniversary of the assassination of Haiti's 58th president, Jovenel Moïse. Two years after the assassination, the judicial investigation in Haiti remains stagnant, as highlighted by the CARDH in its latest report.
