Insecurity: Quisqueya University Aims to Shake Things Up

The rector of Quisqueya University organized an international conference on insecurity in Haiti via the Zoom platform on June 28th and 29th. According to Jacky Lumarque, the conference aimed to understand the behavior of the international community, which is "going in circles" in the face of the Haitian crisis. During this event, the institution brought together a total of 52 speakers across 11 panel discussions.

Over the course of two days, panelists debated the main causes of insecurity, its origin, its impact on human rights, and the organization of elections, among other topics. The debate was both local and international in scope.
