Lawyers for Martine Moïse, the widow of President Jovenel Moïse who was brutally assassinated at his home on July 7, 2021, have filed a lawsuit in Florida against individuals accused of his murder, according to an Associated Press (AP) report. The legal action seeks unspecified damages for Mr. Moïse's family and a jury trial to hold the defendants accountable for the president's death. "Whatever assets exist, we will make sure these individuals pay," said attorney Paul Turner, as stated in the AP report.
