Opening day of the Political Forum held by the High Council of the Transition

The High Council of the Transition inaugurated its multi-stakeholder political forum on Monday, May 23, 2023, at the Karibe Hotel in Port-au-Prince. The organizers place their trust in constructive discussions to establish a consensus on reinstating security across the entire territory and outlining the necessary actions to bring an end to the interim period.

In lieu of its security forum, the High Council of the Transition (HCT) wrapped up the first day of a political dialogue addressing security, constitutional and electoral reforms, good governance, and economic and social measures. The event took place under the patronage of the government.

According to the President of the HCT, Mirlande Hippolyte Manigat, this forum aims to provide a platform for discussions bringing together victims and experts to find solutions to the security crisis. It is organized in the form of a roundtable,
