The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has allocated a budget of $60 million to the FAES's new social program

The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) officially launched the Strengthening Safety Nets Program for Vulnerable Populations during a workshop held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Karibe Hotel. This program received funding of $60 million US dollars from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and aims to reduce food insecurity and increase the medium and long-term resilience of vulnerable populations in Haiti over a duration of three years.

The Strengthening Safety Nets Program for Vulnerable Populations by FAES is the fourth of its kind funded by the IDB since 2018. Through this new program, FAES aims to mobilize non-governmental organizations, UN agencies, and other partner institutions to combat food insecurity in Haiti.
