Nine Massacres Under Ariel Henry's Governance, RNDDH Calls for an End to Gang Protection

The National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH) has published a detailed report on Haiti's security situation under the leadership of Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who took office in July 2021. The report, which spans 43 pages and was released on May 9th, highlights the nine major massacres that have taken place under Henry's governance, with particular emphasis on four incidents in the West department: Village Artistique de Noailles, Savane Pistache, Source Matelas, and Bel-Air. The RNDDH strongly condemns the armed gangs responsible for these heinous acts and calls on state authorities to end their protection of these criminal groups. Additionally, the organization denounces the state authorities who hide behind the "Bwa Kale" movement to urge the population to eliminate their ties with armed individuals who terrorize the population and prevent justice from reaching them.
