On May 1, 2023, Le Nouvelliste, the dean of the Haitian press and the oldest daily newspaper published in French in the Americas, celebrates its 125th anniversary. The paper has been published without significant interruption since 1898. We owe thanks to its founders, Guillaume Chéraquit and Henri Chauvet, as well as the teams across all disciplines who have kept the presses running over the years. We are also grateful to the leaders, collaborators, readers, advertisers, and friends who breathe life into the newspaper day after day.
