Launch of the month the Creole language and culture

On September 30th, the National Bureau of Ethnology, located at Champ de Mars, launched the month the Creole language and culture. The International Day of the Creole language is celebrated every October 28th, but as a prelude to this important date, a series of activities will be held in Port-au-Prince throughout the month of October. Exhibitions, conferences, debates, and fashion are some of the events that are planned for the month.

The National Bureau of Ethnology officially launched this event in conjunction with the Academy Creole and in the presence of politicians and managers in the public service. This event aims to promote the national language. The launch party included musical performances with vocalist Tamara Suffren, theater and dance performances with slam poet Jean D'America.
