President Danilo Medina is the first president in the region to visit Haiti after Hurricane Matthew, which devastated several of the country’s departments.
The Dominican President promised to support the Haitian government in its efforts to put the country on the path of normal development. President Medina was welcomed at the Toussaint Louverture International Aiport’s VIP Lounge by his counterpart, President Jocelerme Privert, Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, parliamentarians and other government officials.

The president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, conducted on Sunday, October 9th, a short visit to Haiti in solidarity with the Haitian people. President Medina, accompanied by several members of the Dominican government, spent less than two hours in Haiti, without leaving the airport.
