This event is being organized by L’Action pour le développement et l’Epanouissement des Enfants (ADEEN) because the lack of access to art, culture and leisure can serve as an obstacle to children. The activities that have been designed will help to develop and strengthen the childrens’ cognitive, social, personal and productive skills while providing psychosocial support to redress issues.
Tales and folksongs derive a universal approach. Where men, trees, rivers ... supernatural beings or deities are shown in harmony; worldview is optimistic.
1st edition of Festimoun festival
From August 23 to 31, 2016, the first edition of "Festimoun" will offer 1,500 underprivileged children access to art, culture and entertainment through workshops on storytelling, dance, traditional singing, and drums. Its theme this year is ‘Timoun Ann Jwi Dwa Kiltirel Nou’ (Kids Let’s Enjoy our Cultural Rights).
