International Jazz Day in Port-au-Prince: Haiti Jazz Foundation honors two women

For the fifth consecutive year, the Haiti Jazz Foundation celebrated International Jazz Day. On Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Karibe Convention Center, the voices of singers Felina Baker and Carolyn Malachi were heard in their entire splendor.

Haitian-American singer, Felina Baker received the French Gospel Music Award for Best New Female Artist in 1991. Having released her first solo album in 2000, she received the award for best singer at the Caribbean Gospel Award in 2002. Throughout her career, she has also traveled extensively in the United States, Canada and Haiti. In addition to a concert at the Rex Theatre in October 2009, she also participated in the production "Atis pou Ayiti".
