Exhibition of Haitian vodou flags in Mexico

On April 23rd, the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico, in collaboration with the French Alliance, launched the exhibition "Drapos, banderas vudu de Haïti" which includes thirty Vodou flags created by various Haitian artisans. The first edition of this event was held at the French Alliance of Polanco and the exhibit will end on May 28, 2016.

Diplomats, researchers, anthropologists, students at the French Alliance, and members of the Haitian community in Mexico participated in the inaugural cocktail. Musical entertainment for the occasion was provided by the Mexican Haitian-Group "Infuzyon jazz." At the opening of the event, Guy Lamothe, Ambassador of Haiti in Mexico, said that the purpose of the exhibition is to pay tribute to Haiti’s art, creativity, and culture.
