Port-au-Prince pays tribute to the victims of attacks in Paris

On November 16, 2015, the Embassy of France in Haiti honored the victims of the attacks on November 13th in Paris. The tribute ceremony was held at the Manoir des Lauriers, residence of the French Ambassador accredited to Port-au-Prince, in the presence of the French community, the Haitian authorities, including the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, and the diplomatic corps.

"We are gathered here to pay tribute in unison, all over France within its borders and abroad, to the victims of the massacre that bloodied Paris this Friday, November 13th," said the French Ambassador Elizabeth Beton-Delegue. "We are here to express our compassion and emotion to those families whose life changed in a few moments with them to mourn the deaths that could have been ours," said the diplomat, referring to more than a hundred dead and as many wounded from th terrorist attacks and in whose memory she called for a minute of silence.
