63 operators and technicians trained in the use of heavy machinery

The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPC in French) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducted the certification of 63 operators and technicians from the National Equipment Center(CNE in French) after 11 weeks of training in the use and maintenance of heavy machinery delivered by experts from the Caribbean Heavy Equipment Educational Center in Suriname.

63 men and women from the CNE received training that will enable them to train other technicians in view of the implementation of the Solid Waste Project Unit (UGDS in French) as part of a strategic partnership between UNDP and the MTPTC.
