The Chairman of the Committee, Jean Joseph Exumé, explained that the objective of this workshop is to continue the restoration work throughout the country to collect proposals from different sectors of society on the depth of the text the draft already submitted to the Presidency for assessment before being submitted at the next legislature. Towards a new penal code in Haiti
On June 19, the Presidential Commission for the Reform of Justice organized a workshop on the draft of the new Penal Code of Haiti in Les Cayes. Judges of the Court of Appeal, the trial courts, courts of peace, commissioners and and lawyers in different jurisdictions took part in this workshop.
