The Association of Haitian music professionals, AYITI MIZIK, founded six months after the 2010 earthquake, felt the need to set up a space where music amateur and professionals can gather information, share their common passion, and discuss music. Thus, "the first resource center for music in Haiti, "Kay Mizik La, opened its doors in Lalue two years later in July 2012.
